Exactly what I was looking for and got them at a less expensive price on Amazon than I would have at the store! Without a doubt, absolutely, 100% two thumbs (and big toes) up! It was because the size chart on Amazon is very different from the chart I found on Sorel's website. My girlfriend is a 40 EUROPE size which would be 10 US depending on Amazon size chart and 8 US on Sorel's website size chart. I ordered by Sorel's size chart and boy, was I happy, because if I went with Amazon's she would have gotten 42 2/3 EUR.
But I must say that I was disappointed with duration of shipping which took well over what is stated (3 - 5 days). It arrived after 14 days and that is unacceptable.
Boots are awesome. They are really well crafted - classic Sorel. This boots were made for two purposes only an that are winter and very cold weather. And they deliver. Good traction on all surfaces including ice. You can stand on one spot for a long period of time (e.g. hockey game) and not worry to ever start getting cold in the feet. Sorel 1964 Pac Graphic Styling, January 28, 2012 By Suzy Sterkowicz (Browntown, WI United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sorel Women's 1964 PAC Graphic Boot (Apparel) I absolutely loved this boot, the suede shaft is very soft to the touch and is the perfect mid calf height, you can tuck your pant leg in or leave them out, and a nice plus for a everyday boot this boot is much lighter than the Womens Cariboo, it doesn't have a thick wool liner like the Cariboo but rather it is a thinner blend of recycled materials but still seemed warm and nice on your feet, it does not have the gripping liner like the Cariboo either but the plus to that is it stays in the boot when you take your boots off.
This boot has a nice tread pattern for walking and bends well when you walk.
Unfortunately for me though even with thick winter socks a size 8 is too big, I ordered a full size down in a 7, and although the foot size front to back was okay when walking they rubbed the back of leg too much, so I am returning both and am so dissappointed I really wanted these for an everyday winter boot!
