For me they were a splurge and I wasn't disappointed when they arrived. I'm normally a size 7 and ordered a 6.5 as Clarks tend to run large for me (and I have a very narrow foot) and the 6.5 fits great. They're really cute!

Heal is very high, but it doesn't seem as high as it looks when walking in it. The platform provdes some nice cushioning on the toes and ball of the foot. After wearing it for three hours standing up and walking around at the airport, my toes and the ball of my foot became sore. I didn't have trouble with shorter periods such as an hour. Definitely not good for standing or walking around for long periods - otherwise ok. Finally, I have this shoe in black and distressed taupe. I wish the distressed taupe color was a deeper brown instead of the faded brown look. The pictures on the web make the distressed taupe look darker than what it actually is. I'm thinking about taking them to a shoe repair shop to see if they can darken up the brown.

The only reason they are not getting five stars is because they run a little big. I had to go half size down.
