why made in China now?, February 26, 2011 This review is from: Dansko Women's Professional Vegan Clog (Apparel) I bought a vegan fabric covered pair several years ago. They were made in Poland. Now, almost ALL Dansko shoes are made in CHINA, and the prices keep going up. What a disappointment. I won't be buying another pair. Too bad Dansko doesn't stick to the ideals that they copied off the Danes. If it bothers you too, check out Sanita. They are Danish shoes made by hand in Poland that sell for less than Dansko's shoes. I have a pair and they are beautiful. Unfortunately, Sanita seems to offer fewer vegan options, especially in Europe (which stinks, because they are way cheaper in Europe!).
oh, and my pair of Danskos got a big split up the back of the heel (weird, eh?) and the fabric had to be be re-sewn on the top edge. Not a biggie, but they don't seem to be keeping their shape that well.

fabric design wears off, July 28, 2011 By This review is from: Dansko Women's Professional Vegan Clog (Apparel) I am a big fan of Dansko shoes; nothing else compares as far as comfort goes. This particular style, though, was disappointing because the tapestry print that you see rubs off to reveal your sock beneath. This wear occurred especially on the sides and toes of my shoe. The tapestry print is still nice on the top, but now looks ratty overall. The damage happens within a few weeks of use. Disappointed in quality for the price.

I was intrigued to buy them because they are certified vegan. They are absolutely beautiful shoes but very, very stiff. The top of the shoe presses into the top of my foot and makes it go numb. I have very high arches, so this phenomenon might not happen to every person who buys these shoes.
If you are thinking about buying this particular pair of Danskos you might want to try them on in a store before you buy them. Some shoes are best not bought online.
